Frequently Asked Questions

Select 4 golfers playing this weekend whose combined world ranking adds to 100 or more. Make your selections on the 'Make Picks' tab.

For example:

Golfer Rank
Rory McIlroy 1
Tiger Woods 16
Lee Westwood 36
Jordan Spieth 47
Total 100

Only those golfers playing in the tournament will be made available for selection. Fields are subject to change at the last minute.

Golf Champs uses a seeded ranking system that incorporates world rankings, betting odds, and other statistics. This approach enhances the gaming element and improves the picking mechanic. While we aim to notify users of last-minute withdrawals, please remember to check your team before tee off.

Your four golfers' actual scores are added together for the duration of the tournament as follows:

Golfer R1 R2 R3 R4 Total
Rory McIlroy -5 -5 -5 -5 -20
Tiger Woods -4 -4 -4 -4 -16
Lee Westwood -3 -3 -3 -3 -12
Jordan Spieth -1 -1 -1 -1 -4
Total -13 -13 -13 -13 -52

In the event of a golfer of yours missing the cut, the score for day 3 and day 4 is determined by taking the worst score from the playing field who made the cut on those days. Assuming Westwood and Spieth missed the cut in the following example:

Golfer R1 R2 R3 R4 Total
Rory McIlroy -5 -5 -5 -5 -20
Tiger Woods -4 -4 -4 -4 -16
Lee Westwood -3 +4 +10 +3 +14
Jordan Spieth -1 +6 +10 +3 +18
Total -13 +1 +11 -3 -4

We will notify you in the event of one of your players withdrawing. You are then free to select another player, as you would normally be able to do before a tournament begins. If you have not changed your entry 1 hour before the tournament starts, we will change it on your behalf. We will automatically select the closest (higher) ranked player.

In the event of a golfer getting injured or disqualified (or withdrawing) during the tournament (i.e. after teeing off), he will receive the worst score made by a player who played on that day and for the remaining days. So if your player withdraws on day 1 he will receive the worst score made for all 4 days of the tournament and if your golfer withdraws on day 2 he will take his day 1 score and the worst scores from the playing field on days 2, 3 and 4.

You may enter as many pools as you like. You may not sign up for multiple accounts using different email addresses. For pools with prizes, we will request that you send through proof of ID in order to claim your prize. If you are found to have entered two teams we will automatically disqualify you.

Scoring is updated as frequently as possible from our scoring provider. This is approximately every 15 minutes

Prizes are subject to winners submitting proof of identification, and sending us their delivery address, so as to claim their prize.

Certain prizes are subject to terms and conditions from our partners and sponsors such as country as origin. These will be communicated where possible.

In some instances prizes may only be awarded to players 18 years or older (e.g. alcohol)

Employees of Golf Champs and their partners are not eligible to win prizes.

In the event of a tie, the winning team will be decided based on the following criteria:

  1. The person whose team has a higher combined rank side win. For example a team that has 101 ranking points versus 100 wins
  2. If the ranking of your 4 golfers is exactly the same we then remove the lowest ranked golfer and add your highest three (and then two if this is still the same).
  3. If the exact same teams have been chosen, we will create a tie breaker pool in the next scheduled event.
